Parent-Student-Teacher Organization (PTSO)

PTSO Mission

The Cedar Grove Belgium Parent teacher student organization serves as a partner between the parents and teachers of Cedar Grove Belgium Schools with one mission in mind: To strengthen, enhance, and encourage the educational and social environment of Cedar Grove Belgium students.

  • Working together as a team by improving and enriching the learning environment for our CGB students

  • Raise funds to purchase items directly for our school or provide grants that will enhance the students learning experiences

  • Support family and student social interaction by planning family friendly events

  • Come together as a community to provide support to other groups in need

PTSO Goals

  • Learn, socialize, communicate and grow: Provide opportunities for parents, teachers and students

  • Non-profit parent teacher organization: Membership includes all parents, legal guardians, and staff at CGB School district. The PTSO board is made up of volunteer parents that are voted into their positions by their peers.

  • PTSO Funds: All PTSO funds are raised by fundraisers that encourage community involvement, these funds are used to benefit our CGB students. Whether these funds are used for direct classroom funding or school wide events the best interest of our CGB students and families are first and foremost.

  • Respect: We value our school and ourselves. We acknowledge that we are role models for our children and other students; we strive to conduct ourselves in a positive, kind manner and always appreciate the same in return

  • Inclusivity: We invite the stranger and welcome the newcomer. We value and seek input from all viewpoints and experiences as possible.

  • Integrity: We act consistently with our beliefs, When we err, we acknowledge the mistake and seek amends as soon as possible

We meet at 6:00pm on the Third Tuesday of September, November, January, March, and May in the Elementary School Library!
